wonderles winter sport

Over the winter sports season my team have won 1 lost lots and tied 2.  I Play hockey for winter sports.  My teammates are GoO Gabriel Cooper Frank Tama and Zoe. I would of chosen soccer but I wanted to try hockey. I play soccer for Club named Burwood. This was my first time playing hockey.  I was really bad at hockey but now I've improved my skills.  I keep practising until I got really good and now my skills have got better. The hardest thing for us or our team was  we versed teams that play hockey for Saturtday sport none of our team did. But some of them used to. what I learnt about hockey is that it's best to have sportsmanship and a positive attitude. No matter how many times you have lost or won it is all about having fun.

If you did winter sport at your  school and you had a choice between  soccer hockey rugby and netball which one would you choose?

Everything you need to know about polar ice caps

Amelia's follow up for week 8
This term in reading we have been reading about the environment.
I have enjoyed learning more and more every day.
For reading this week my group read this article:What Is a Polar Ice Cap?
The new ideas I have now I’ve read this text are
  1. Give everybody free solar panels.
  2. Use less gases
  3. Bike to school
  4. Use beeswax wraps
  5. Use reusable containers
  6. Use an electric car
  7. Get a worm farm
  8. Use less plastic

I now better understand because of what we are doing polar ice caps are melting this could lead to all
animals living in Antarctica extinct. I know what we are doing is not right and that is why I am now
trying my best to make a change.
What do you know about Polar ice caps?
What do you think you could do to help reduce Climate Change?

Lost but found
Once there was a little girl who loved to explore the garden.
She would always find new places to explore and see what was in there. one day when she was in a arch covered with leaves she found something. It was old dirty and felt like crumpled leaves.she lifted it up and saw that it was a map.

Super Sports with the Juniors

PBL - Term 1

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan
we were going to do a lemonade stand and give out kindness cards but everyone was yelling and not agreeing then we emerged and it was way badder then we agreed to do games with the juniors because it was free.

Reflection:
For our final product our group did games with the joiners to  introduce  new games and show them  they are fun.

How did our action build a sense of community in the school the joiners were talking about the new games we told them  and said they were cool.

I contributed by telling everyone to be quiet so everyone could talk and also  explaining about rob the nest to the young kids.

I think the PBL might impact on others because they were really happy and enjoyed it

What I learned about working with others was that not everyone agrees.
