Marvellous museum Fun

On Monday the 16th of September our school St Francis of Assisi when to the museum.  we learnt about Maori technology and then got to have a look around  the museum. we were in groups.  I had five people in my group there was Natalie Zoe me Claudia and ebony. The first activity we did he was learning about Maori technology.  we learnt about how they survived when they first came to Aotearoa.  we found out that back in those days they didn't have as much of the disease as we have now. The person that was   telling us about the Maori technology he, told us a story about a  Taniwha. He said  that the only stone that can cut green stone is sandstone.  After we got to have a look around we saw lots of the Maori technology we even got to feel green stone. Then we got lead  into a classroom where we were allowed to do some  Maori technology. The  activities where smoothing rocks with sandstone.    drilling with a green stone we had to rub very hard to try make a fire we didn't ,   luckily.   we also did cave drawings and we did carvings. After  it was time for lunch.  Once we're finished eating we're allowed to play in a big tree with lots of branches to climb and swing on.I nearly got stuck.  Then we were finished playing in the big tree so we went to have a look around the museum we got to see the wizard. He had a long beard and a huge long walking stick. We then went to visit the  Antarctic Section. There was a polar bear, brown bears and black bears. The were wood statues that you could stand on and  compare your size. Next we went up stairs to see an 100 year old fruit cake. The tin looked all rusty. We then moved onto the dinosaurs
. When we were about to leave we rubbed our hands on the green stone for good luck. We then hoped on the bus and arrived back at school.
Have you ever been to the museum. What was your favourite bit about it?
