Straws invented that stop hiccups.

Hello everyone this bog post is about different Genres finding shapes and making a better title. We had to choose three articles to write about.

Straws Invented that stop hiccups-Genre Interesting Article                                                                             My Thoughts on this Article                                                                                                                       This would be such a great Idea but they are a lot of money just to buy 1 straw. It would be very useful when you needed them. This article interested me the most because of the title and what it was about. Who would pay that much money for a straw that stops hiccups it is a good idea but to much Money.

Words best Water goes to Australian town - International                                                                                My thoughts on this Article                                                                                                                         This Article caught my eye because of the title. I wonder if it really is the best water in the world. If it is I wonder why it was given to an Australian town. I mean it would problem be great to have the beast water in the world but then again water is water in the end.

Worlds largest suspension bridge- interesting Article                                                                                            My thoughts on  this article                                                                                                                                 This is so cool. Imagine you walked on the longest suspension bridge in the world. It would  be quite scary though.I wonder if it shakes. I mean imagine how high up you would be. If you had a fear of heights it wouldn't be good at all. I wonder how long it is.

5 senses reading

Reading Goal: L4 visualise using all of the senses, and talk about how this enriches meaning. This week for reading we had to listen to a story about matariki and spot the 5 senses. The 5 senses are Tasting, Touching , Smelling , Seeing, Hearing. We then had create a story that had to be 100 words or less. The story had to be about every day things such as brushing your teeth or waking up in the morning. I did my story about cooking dinner because I love to cook. Here is my story enjoy.

As I cook dinner the sound of the oil sizzles and splashes as the pan gets hotter. When the oil dances I add my ingredients, and spices. The spices and the oil mix together and create a beautiful aroma of smells waft through the kitchen. I see the pasta slowly getting covered in the yummy sauce just waiting to be eaten. As I dish it onto my plate and start to eat. The pasta  touches my tongue. I taste all of the beautiful spices and yummy sauce that give it flavour. It’s warmth rushes through my body Yum.

Can you spot the 5 senses?

Character web

For Reading this week we had to read a short fiction story and then create a character web. I choose The Magic Finger by Ronald Dahl. The book is about a small eight year old girl who uses the magic finger on the Gregg's one afternoon. She uses the magic finger because she hates it how Mr Gregg and his two boys go hunting. This time they killed six ducks and 17 geese. The magic finger is a wonderful book. I receme nd you read it? Here is my character web I hope you enjoy it.

What book would you do a character web on?

Top Team Tasks

Welcome back bloggers. This week for maths we had to make a challenge for Top Team. We had to use Area and Perimeter in our top team task. If it involved water then you also had to add volume. My Top Team task was who's team could build the best shelter. The materials you had to use where Wooden or foam cubes, pool noodles and a wooden base to build your shelter on. Your teams shelter had to be sturdy and stay standing until they told you it could come down. Your team then had to work out the perimeter and area of your shelter. Here is my maths create hope you enjoy:)

What would you design for top team?
