Rad Reading

 For reading this week we had to create a poster that had less then 20 words. I chose to create my poster about how we should keep NZ clean for other country to follow. If we keep NZ clean and green then other country might follow in our way and help reduce climate change and global warming. I hope you like it.

Be You

 For reading this week we were looking at what a community is and what it means to be in a community.       We looked at the advantages and disadvantages of being in a community. 3 benefits of being in a community is that there are people that can support you. You are never alone. You can make new friends and care of each other. We then read about a man who lived alone on a island in Italy for 32 years. He said that he liked living alone because it isn't like in the city, and he gets to look after the environment and can learn new things. After reading this article we then got to choose out of 2 create options. One option was to create a Be poem. Or create a event for your community. I decided to create my own be poem. The be poem is inspired by the beatitudes. Here is my own unique version enjoy.

Excellent Week 7 Task

                                                             READING

This week for reading we had to follow a set of instruction. I chose to follow the instructions to make scones.  First we had to follow the Instructions to see what the outcome was. At first I had no idea what they instructions were for then I realised that it was instructions to make scones. I love scones, here is the instruction and my final outcome.

WRITING

For writing this week we had to create our own set of instructions. They had to be less then 8 steps and no more than 150 words. I choose to create instructions for banana choc chip muffins. They are supper easy to make, and are great to eat. Here are my instructions why don't you try and make them I am sure that you will like them.

MATHS

For Maths this week we had to create a logo. The logo had to included 2 of the 4 transformations. The transformations are, Enlargement, Reflection, Rotation and transformation. In my logo I have included reflection and enlargement. My logo is for a business that I want to create when I am older. It would help reduce climate change and help keep the Ice caps and arctic a place for polar bears to live for ever.

Statistical Investigation

 For maths this week we had to do a statistical Investigation. I choose to do my on the Olympic medals. Once we had collected our data we had to find an appropriate chart that displayed our data. We then had to create a info graphic that showed the data that we had our chart and 2 statements. Here is my info graphic I hope that you like it:)

Riddle Poem

 For writing this week we had to create a poem, it could be about anything. We could do a riddle poem, a rhyme poem, a shape poem or a haiku. I choose to create a riddle poem on canva. A riddle poem is a bit like a riddle except it can rhyme. Have you ever written a riddle poem? That was my first riddle poem that I had written. It was quite fun to write actually. I think that you should try and write one for your family to work out. It would be a great activity to do since we are in lockdown. Here it is I hope you enjoy reading it.

Fantastic Hockey

For reading this week we had to create something to do with happiness and hobbies. We could invent a new game, write about one of your favourite hobbies and how it makes you happy, or you could talk about top 10 hobbies that you could try. I decided to create a poster about one of my favourite hobbies hockey and how that makes you happy. Here is one reason why playing hockey makes you happy. Hockey increase teamwork and friendships which help you late one in life. Here is my poster I hope that yup learn something new:)

Mathtastic Maths

 For maths this week our goal was to use multiplication and division strategies to find fractions of whole numbers. We could use any DLO to create something to show what we have learnt. We also had to screencastify over top of our DLO and talk through how we did our problems. I choose to create a poster and a screencastify. Here it is:)
